Make an Intensely Personal Statement

At any age, faces fascinate us. We respond to youthful images and to pictures of close friends or family members (shown top left). As we continue to mature, our prized possessions take on new significance as well. To increase his professional presence, one of our clients attached real photographs of neighbors' Christmas decorations to his advertising pamphlets (bottom right).

Exceeding Your Supplier's Expectations

You frequently can use uncopyrighted or public-domain photos in your own publicity as long as the info increases business for the provider. When in doubt, call and ask for permission. Be sure to explain how you plan to alter any existing graphic elements. BTW: It's always nice form to email a copy of the finished product to your contact person.

Heavy on Copy? Get Organized

We all know that average readers browse advertising pieces. If you don't place your words in logical sequence and highlight what your reader should consider most important, individual scanners won't take time to absorb your message. With a little thoughtful organization and tasteful emphasis, however, you can lure them in and keep them reading.

Only Two Colors? Crank It Up

Don't forget that shading from a single color pallet in itself can become a striking design element. Why waste your efforts with a tiny touch of color here and there? Maximize your statement while minimizing your overall expenses. People will notice.
