Teaching — Love It or Leave It

Do you believe a good teacher must first become a good learner? To convey ideas and concepts most effectively, we study our students to determine the ideal educational route. Much of what we've garnered during the past several decades accomplishes our objective 85 percent of the time. But then there's that remaining 15 percent who defy all the rules. We relish such challenges.

A Right-Brain/Left-Brain Exercise

SGS DESIGN AND MORE offers something rarely seen elsewhere. We combine verbal and visual elements easily, because we live a full-brain existence. Gifted with a logical mind that never ignores the creative side, we're also ever instructing, helping, and growing. Unlike some design firms, we don't complete one end of the project and pass our work to someone else. Our tasks evolve simultaneously, which gives you a delightfully coherent end-product.

Five Years Old to Ninety-Five Big Ones

Regardless of our chronological ages, we're not very different from each other. Most people learn best when the material stays fun and entertaining; if we find something incredibly boring, many of us will "act out" in same form. The biggest mistake curriculum writers and designers make is believing they have a captive audience and no longer need to captivate their students. We don't buy that philosophy, and it shows in our work.
